Teh Squeaky Wheel
Sven: This is a memorable cut from the 2010 era album. I remembered it well enough to remember the tagline/title.
I’d suggest crankin’ it : )
Except for maybe Geddy’s voice being obviously more mature, this sounds like a song that could have been on a much earlier album.
Thanks, Dv8 -- I saw Rush once in the 70’s at the Long Beach Arena. Black Oak Arkansas opened for them. I think it was in support of the 2112 album. What killed me for them was the overhyped and constant playing of Spirit of Radio -- really didn’t like that song.
It certainly is a very famous one. But like it or not, it’s musically pretty representative of their style. Lots of signature elements, hooks, meter/style changes, etc.
All their songs had a kind of Epic or Heroic element to them, which I also like. (ala The Romantic Manifesto by Ayn Rand)
somehow I forgot to post the above a while ago. So there it is now.
I do like that song, in fact, I think it’s on the USB stick that’s currently plugged in.
Happy Thursday, GN!
It’s another soon-to-be-baking day on the prairie.
Good luck with the dentist, DV8. “Fittings” can be trying.
And that’s all I got today … except how many people bit on that Twitter hack?!
we’ll see how it goes, re dental stuff.
Leafy (who vanished from YouTube for 2 years and returned edgier than ever) did a hilarious video on it.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8!
dv8 -- sorry to hear about your dental issues. Let’s hope they get this one done quickly and correctly.
Good morning, Paddy, Dv8, and GN!
