Happy Cat’s Butt Cake Friday, GN!

(They’ll need some civet coffee to go along with it…)

Paddy --

Hope The Younger can find a good situation in FL; very sorry to read about the stupidity of his current employer.

Sven --

Hope they get your electricity restored so you and Mrs. Sven can have A/C and power to work, run your fridge, etc.

OH NO!!! I was afraid that was the poop coffee! I looked it up and I WAS RIGHT.

Didn’t we have a thread about civet coffee like a long, long time ago?

It’s tickling my member berries.

I think I spelled that wrong : )

It’s: ‘member berries, as in the South Park episode, “short for “REmember.”

Good morning, Fatwa, and Mac! Yes, they got the power back on -- even ahead of schedule by about 45 minutes. Bummer tho, at 4:30 this morning, it was still 76 degrees outside.

hi Sven. I think I’ve been asleep for a few days, sorta kinda. Are they having rolling blackouts again? Did Antifa cut the power? Did some fine, upstanding citizens poop in the substation and cause a short?

Or did you just have a mishap at home?

In any case, glad your power is back on.

First Mac, then you. Are Gerbils being targeted? : )

Is Richard Gere behind all this?

Hi, Dv8. No this was planned maintenance on their part and they actually did a good job notifying us and sticking to their schedule. I was up early this morning while the power was still out and it looked like all of us up in the hills were affected.

Just got home from the Big Route. Gotta either sleep again.

BORING.

Or else stay up and try to flip my schedule for the weekend. I think I’d like that.

Like… I’d feel like I was alive. and could get a few things done during the day.

I have to admit. I’m having a bit (meaning a lot) of trouble with that NLP Timeline Therapy my friend did on me.

I keep thinking of the Meteor Strike, The Sun going nova… When I look up at night I see the moon slowly leaving orbit leaving the Earth to wobble back and forth creating an unstable climate.

When I look at the stars, I see the heat death of the Universe. I’m obviously NOT made to look “forward” like a neurotypical person.

This is all, to say the least, most unpleasant. Most disconcerting. I’m having some trouble reframing this. I think I need some help. But who knows what goobellie-gotts in my brain will get screwed up if I ask my friend to try putting it back the way it was and/or “fixing” it.

I feel like It’s a risk either way, although… I can’t imagine it could be worse than it is now.

That sounds more than a little disconcerting. Most people, when looking at the moon and the stars, just see the moment, not thinking ahead or behind.

I hope you can get some relief!

It’s been quite bothersome. And thank you. I think I’ve about decided to skype my NLP friend and have him try something.--anything!

I should say, I’m managing it okay, but it makes day to day life less pleasant and more cumbersome. Like I’m carrying a big burden. Prayer has been helping to lighten the load. I’ll say that much.

Fatwa, I’d be interested in your thoughts on the UAE recognizing Israel.

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, Mac, and dv8 -- in no particular order.

I think I’ll skip the cake, thanks.

I see Edison has called a Flex Alert for today -- make sure you reduce your power usage during the heat of the day, when you most need your A/C.

Sven -- glad they got your power back on -- you’re going to need it!

Such old-school thinking, Mac! Don’t you know that it is the responsibility of the proles to provide for the support of the government for the good of the greater society at-large?

I guess, I’m to tired to try to flip my schedule around. The lure of sleep sounds too nice. I’ll see you this afternoon, I guess, GN.

I guess, by “afternoon,” I meant “late night.”

Hi Mac, dv8, Sven and Paddy!

Sven --

Happy to read about your power situation; yay!

I know, OhmMG.

ICWYDT, Naughty Mac.

dv8 --

Hope you can mitigate the NLP Timeline Therapy; I can only imagine how disconcerting that must be for you.

Still not quite back to whatever passes for my “normal”, as there are still lingering BS issues pertaining to the job -- which were not JimCo’s fault -- which are a PITA to deal with.

As re Israel and UAE normalizing relations: I don’t know enough about it to have an informed opinion.

My gut feeling is it’s fairly legit. I think a lot of governments there have had a bellyful of the troublemakers (Hamas, ISIS, Assad, the Palestinians, etc.) and think that Trump is not the pushover his predecessors have been.

It’d be nice if some peace broke out in that region, but I’m not holding my breath.

BBL.

Some surprisingly good news out of CA although I haven’t yet found like a link to it: Ninth Circuit Strikes Down California Large Capacity Magazine Ban as Violative of the Second Amendment.
