Teh Squeaky Wheel
Good morning, Gerbil Nation.
Church day is Merch day?
Harper is trying a new migraine treatment which seems to be helping a lot. we’ll see how it goes but it looks good so far.
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8!
I’m sorry Harper is going through another migraine, but glad to hear the new treatment is working.
When I went to bed last night, we had 92% humidity, this morning it’s dropped to 83%.
Do. Not. Like.
After services Mrs. Paddy and I are going to my MIL’s to clean her fountain and -- hopefully -- take care of the last of the wasp nests of the season.
Paddy: It’s more like the Migraines never end. They just keep coming on in waves. The new medicine is a monthly injection and it does seem to be helping already.
Thanks for the update. I’m sorry she’s going through this.
That’s a goodness.
Happy Sunday, GN!
Good luck to Miss Harper and the new treatment.
Wasp? I thought those guys were all dead or in rehab.
Ahhhh,,, good old fashioned hair metal. Back when the guys wore more makeup than the girls. Actually though, one decade later the Emo bands were taking over the makeup thing. And the Goths too.
BTW, Sven, how is your eye situation going? I hope you are getting some relief.
Thanks for asking, Dv8. It’s been better lately -- I changed up some things on my own that seem to be helping. My vision is still poor and that makes many things difficult, but we’ll see what happens. I was supposed to make an appointment with a specialist for a second opinion, but I’m putting that off for now -- just wore out with doctors and such.
Just read that Dana White of the UFC will be speaking at the RNC this week. I can’t think of a pro sports athlete, league, owner, or pundit that I have any respect for today except Dana White. From 4 years ago:
Happy Sunday, GN!
I *still* don’t want to tune into the sound and fury that’s encroaching with every day, but it’s getting harder to avoid it.
I’m sure there’ll be some of that on the new job tomorrow. Which I’m looking forward to.
I persevered, I finished the Scribe training, including the final exam. Which I passed with 90%. Go farking figure.
Still, too fast for me, and I can see getting twisted up over missing something -- real or not. However, since that first cut and resulting certificate don’t expire … I’ll have it in my back pocket too.
Maybe they’ll have something more static or at least my speed.
I wish I could tell you you get used to it, but luckily for you, it should be over soon. Trust me, I muse every once in a while, “I wonder if I could go home?”
Other than that, apparently we’re in at least one of each of the models of the current storms in the Gulf. So we’ve got that to look forward to.
I’m going to start the quietening process with the dogs so I can get to bed little earlier -- since tomorrow is my first day.
Good luck tomorrow, Tex! I KNOW it will go well.
