This seems to be the ultimate in lost luggage.

Good morning Gerbils.

Still no driving glasses or computer glasses.

Walmart gave me sunglasses by mistake--which I already have. The computer glasses expert wasn’t there when I went in, so I have to wait a while more.

Still no permanent crown. Still waiting for the 3rd attempt at a crown to be in. Who knows if it’s ready yet. I’s supposed to be, but I’ve not gotten a call yet.

Almost nobody knows how to do their job…

(present company excepted : )

Happy Space Kitteh Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8!

When competence is no longer valued, it’s no surprise that it becomes a scarcer commodity. Sorry to hear about all of your troubles. Why does it seem like they tend to pile up, rather than spreading out?

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

G’day, GN!

Hi, dv8 and Paddy!

Sorry to read about all of the Wheelizen woes and hope they can all be resolved satisfactorily.

Maaaaaaan…if I thought the last JimCo job was, erm, extremely challenging -- and it was -- this one has it beat by a country mile in that regard.

The. Job. From. Hell.

An unfortunate combination of shitty 55–year-old construction, difficult site logistics, many homeowners who are a waste of skin and oxygen and all of the Covid-related craziness.

Fuuuuuuuuuu….

I can hardly wait to GTFO on the 17th. (By which time -- with a bit of sorely-needed luck -- it’ll be done or nearly so.)

I’m getting too old for this shit™.

Good morning, Fatwa!
Thanks for checking in. Sorry that this job has been such a PITA.
I hear the cabbage rose wallpaper is almost finished at CasaK, so you’ve got something to look forward to!

Someone put up a giant Trump sign, reminiscent of the Hollywood sign, in the Sepulveda pass. It was on private property, but CalTrans trespassed and took down the sign (they say they didn’t remove it from the property) because it was a “distraction”. I wonder when they’ll use that same reasoning on every other billboard in the state.

It’s also interesting how fast something can get done when those in power want it done.
