Harper did indeed come with me to work on Thrusday/Friday, to celebrate my birthday. Not just for the route but for the workday as well.
She even met all three route drivers, which she, of course, delighted. Most everyone has that reaction to her. Her online persona is an accurate reflection of how she is IRL.
I just thought you all should know.
I was going to bake and/or purchase a cake, but I ended up sleeping too late… so no. But we all had a nice time anyway.
After the job part, we went on the route together, but I took her home after the Sedona part of the route. I then went on to the VOC *village of oak creek” part, which is the final part of the route.
The whole thing has almost 100 stops in it, which is a lot for a commercial route.
Thank you, Paddy. I had many hundreds of DVDs in unsorted stacks and it was taking ever longer to find anything. I had to do something. I was afraid I would have to cull books but I only had to trash one shelf of old catalogs.
Also impressed with your mad organization skills. Plus, you have even more turlet paper reserves than CasaK. (We have an “Apocalypse Cabinet” which has quite a variety of foods, basic meds and related stuff which LambiePieK has assembled. Not as well organized as your stuff, but it was handy earlier this year…which also gave us a chance to use, replace and rotate stocks.)
Gotta put together a brief ass-covering email to teh Encino-Minsk COA Board detailing yesterday’s incident. Still pretty pissed-off about that…I don’t much care for having my cow-workers or myself threatened.
Fark them people for making me do work on Saturday.
Good idea to document it. Sorry the job went sideways when it should have been easier. People can be a pain.
The closets are rather full. Too much for just us but we have supplied four other families. Elena has already shared a dozen cans of disinfectant spray and more than a dozen tubs of disinfectant wipes. I was checking several to many times a day to pick that stuff up and got lucky a few times. In four months I had gotten a total of three cans of spray, then I got two opportunities to pick up 12 cans. They were gone in minutes but I got enough. We are well stocked enough I have pulled back my searching now.
I always kept months to a years worth of toilet paper and it got us through until more started coming in (everything I ordered had long lead times, several weeks to one or two months.) I also keep coffee on hand. There is eight more cans in the other closet that don’t show. Must have the necessities of life!!
Still alive, tired tho -- sleeping a lot. Talked with Fatwa earlier today -- towards the end of the call there was a Trump parade of cars streaming by his location -- lot of horns honking for maybe 10 minutes. Good to see that here in SoCal. Fatwa sounded good, but anxious to return home. Can’t hardly blame him.
Nice job organizing, Mac. Inspiring. Good to see the rest of you alive and well.
happy saturday, Gerbils!

Good morning, dv8!
I’m glad Harper was able to join you for work. I’m sure it makes the day go by faster.
I hope Sven is doing alright.
Mac -- that’s some storage system you’ve got!

I commented on your amazing organizational skills Also thanks the post itself, which obviously took some effort to make. Thanks for all the pictures.
Okay… Now on to my next comment. Comin’ atcha in a few:
I’m going to try posting a video conferencing link on Jitsi in a few minutes.
If anyone wants to join in, please feel free.

I’ll be on for a while. I guess. While I do other things.
Sorry my friend. I followed the link but the first thing they wanted was access to my web cam and microphone. I have neither of those.
actually, you can just ignore that and get the conference. And you can then just type in chat if you want.

Appreciated the “Robocop” quote. 😉
