is MALT-gate a real thing or just a meme? I’m not sure what this is about. I’ve been sleeping off the Big Route (Harper rode along, yay : ) but for some reason I woke up fairly early.
I just spent the afternoon watching a friend edit videos.
I couldn’t believe how fast he was. Master of the keyboard shortcuts. Amazing!!! Granted he’s using Adobe Premier, which I can’t afford--well, I could afford it, I guess, but I’d have to justify it by using it pretty regularly. Anyway, I use OpenShot. It’s a pretty good open source editor. Not so great compared to Adobe Premier. Like… you can’t lock parallel clips together, and it has very little editing automation (that I know of)
Like in Premier, you can sync multiple takes via audio, for example. Stuff like that saves a lot of time.
I’ve only done a smidge of video editing -- many moons ago. I wouldn’t have the faintest idea how to even approach the task now. Like with image editing, I’ve never done enough, or gone through enough tutorials, to figure out layers. They just never seem to work the way I think they should work.
