So on Tuesday night, Our antiquated mail machine stopped working. I let the boss know via text and just went on The Big Route early. I got home around 4am and went to sleep.
Harper volunteered to help me put labels on 1600 papers manually, and boss man said he’d pay her cash if need be.
While I think that would have been a fun Wednesday afternoon, as the fates would have it, My counterpart bud, got the machine working via a spare vacuum pump we had on the shelves. So I was able to complete the mail including taking it to the post office in under 2 hours.

Mrs. Paddy and I had a great three days off. We got to stop at a long-time friend’s house along the way, saw elephant seals, watched beautiful sunsets, and tasted some great wine. We traveled through some beautiful countryside and neither read, nor heard a bit of news. It was glorious!
We only went as far north as San Simeon. We stayed in Cambria and drove through the mountains and valleys of Paso Robles. We saw lots of small businesses that are open by appointment only and talked with lots of folks about how they are surviving. Parents of school-age kids are finding it especially difficult.
I’m amused that social media is pulling the plug on Trump supporters and organizations citing “harmful misinformation.” Considering all the other bullshit they have no problem with, like 83.5 genders, systemic racism, and the United States being extablished in 1619, it’s almost like they have some agenda other than fairness or uniform standards.

Republican Mike Garcia, our current representative in the 25th District, has pulled ahead again of his Dem opponent. Still hope.
