Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Glad to see that Walmart’s merchandising stuff to Antifa / anarchists; now that’s “inclusive”! Wonder if there’s a display of shop rags on a nearby table. 👿

I reckon there’ll be a reduced number of Black Friday mayhem videos this year (assuming stores have restrictions in-place) but perhaps moron-Americans will rise to the challenge and provide us with some cheap amusement at their expense.

What? You know what an optimist I am.

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!

Had an interesting Thanksgiving at Casa du Furnijur. There were to be eight of us, but my MiL was complaining of a rash -- turns out it was shingles. She pays for concierge service with her doctor, so we were able to text him some photos for confirmation, he called in a prescription, and my SiL was able to pick up the anti-viral just before the pharmacy closed. Everyone made it, except for my MiL. For a while we weren’t sure if anyone was going to.

Oh, and Teh Younger was supposed to make the pumpkin and apple pies with my MiL on Tuesday, but she wasn’t feeling up to it, so Teh Younger and I made them. Unfortunately my MiL doesn’t have a recipe for either -- she just wings it and makes the most excellent apple pie. The pies turned out quite well -- I made a few notes for next time -- but the crusts were an absolute pain to work with. They were too brittle and couldn’t be lifted into the pie pans without breaking. I remember my mom having that problem on occasion long ago, but don’t remember what the issue was. Oh well, time to try a different pie crust recipe. It was also the first time I’ve cooked such a small turkey -- about 15 pounds.

I hope all y’all had a most wonderful Thanksgiving.
