Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Happy “Bee Is For ‘Butt'” Humpty Hump Day, Wheelizens!

Paddy --

Cheers for the good JimCo wishes; sorry youse guys are missing the opportunity to build a Rose Bowl float this year.

It’s like they pick and choose which rights are worthy of their time or some such thing.

That’s because they’ve become “cafeteria civil libertarians”. Do you think for a moment the current iteration would fight for, say, the Nazis’ right to march in Skokie?

Further, “rights” are not what they once were in America. And I have very grave doubts about our ability to keep our republic. I think odds are currently better than 50-50 that were headed for some form of civil war.

Do. Not. Want.

Happy Bee Butt Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

In re Rose Parade floats: we have an entire “family” of people that we see for one week each year, and like many other family gatherings this year, it’s just not the same without them.

Fatwa and Sven -- you’ve both got it right in re the ACLU. They no longer stand for anything.

SoCal is going to remain under government-mandated shutdown for the foreseeable future. The greater Sacramento area, as well as the Bay area should come off the lockdowns next Monday.

We can see what fresh hell Newsom is serving up in a few minutes:

It sounds like many schools won’t re-open for in-person instruction until the spring. Given the poor job schools are doing at online instruction, students will have effectively lost an entire year’s worth of instruction.

I blame the children. And their parents.

I’m sure that given enough money, the teachers’ unions will promise to do their best to improve student performance.
