See you tomorrow, GN

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

G’day, GN!

G’night, dv8!

Mac --

Is that landlord about a size 14? 👿

===================

I’m really weary of being lockdown entertainment and/or a lifeline to freakin’ mentally unhealthy condo owners. (Poor Jim teh Roofer has the worst of it, as he has to schlep around -- burning increasingly expensive gasoline -- and investigate these “phantom leaks” and “weird noises”.)

Not to mention the idiots we’ve been trying to reach for weeks who finally call back telling me, “Well…I’ll be home tomorrow between 1:00 and 1:15; can someone stop by then?”

Sure, lady…we’ll just teleport ourselves right to your friggin’ unit to suit your schedule.

*Rolls eyes hard enough to see own brain stem*

Rock, paper, scissors becomes stairs, nukes, and borders.

Sorry you are still in customer service hell, Fatwa -- did you guys ever get fully paid for the last job you did out here?

The thing with Gov. Noem is that she stood firm against the Covid hysteria for a year, ran her state well under the circumstances, stayed Conservative, and was a firm and public Trump supporter.

I’d give her the benefit of the doubt over this trans issue and see what happens. The Conservative purity test on ALL issues is not helping the cause especially in this case. She’s a woman that could have a bright future ahead of her and to toss her aside now is stupid.

When Trump banned bump stocks by executive order, the 2A crowd for the most part didn’t toss him aside.

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning (night), dv8, Fatwa, and Sven!

Fatwa -- I understand about the hell that customer service can be and I’m sorry you’re in it. I used to work summers for a friend who owned a residential painting company. I got assigned as customer service, because he didn’t like dealing with people with complaints. I spent way too many days touching up shadows and spots that moved with the sun and scraping paint off concrete that matched the previous house color.

Drive-by:

Hai, Sven and Paddy!

Sven --

The last gig I was out there for (September-October), JimCo financed 50% of the job price, so Jim and I haven’t seen any income yet as all of their payments are going to his line of credit. (Since every buck we don’t pay in interest goes into our pockets.) We ought to start seeing personal income from it starting in late May and continuing through October.

Thus far, payments have been exceedingly timely.

I spent way too many days touching up shadows and spots that moved with the sun and scraping paint off concrete that matched the previous house color.

*Facepalm*

Paddy --

It’s amazing how many homeowners are morons and/or looking to get “freebies” they’re not entitled to.

OTOH, we occasionally have customers who are real gems. (Especially the ones who treat my ass-busting cow-workers wonderfully.)

The Biden press conference begins. I hope someone asks how his dogs are after that White House mishap caused them to be shipped away.

“I’m about to say something outrageous. If you hold something near and dear, I, uh, anyway, we’re going to get things done.”

Reading from a list of pre-selected reporters to call on, in order.

Will you commit to transparency on conditions at the border?
“I will commit to transparency, once my plans are put in place.”
When will that be?
“I don’t know.”

He obviously received the questions in advance, because he’s reading the answers from a notebook.

The question was about gun control. Joe is talking about infrastructure spending.

I missed most of it, but of what I saw they pumped up him up with some good drugs. He looked more or less alert and his were wide open. For Joe, that’s quite an accomplishment. America can now relax knowing we are in the best of hands.

I would suggest that Joe’s term isn’t going to be long at all, but yeah we’ll be under the leftist yoke for awhile.

This one is a keeper: “With regard to the filibuster, I believe we should go back to a position with the filibuster that existed when I came to the United States Senate 120 years ago.”

DNS issues persist for me. But I just realized that Brave Browser has TOR built in. So I didn’t have to Download Tor Browser again. on my MS Surface.

I think I’m still asleep though. Just checking in on the thread.

It’s curious that several left wing media groups have come out with stories critical of Biden. Why? it ain’t journalistic standards or them acting as watchdogs of democracy. My guess is that they recognize that Biden has baggage and they will happily push him out of the way to install Harris sooner rather than later.
