It’s good to be loved.

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Imploring Kitteh Friday…woo hoo!

Hi, Sven! Hope you had a better night than teh previous one.

Joe believes in truth, not facts.

I suspect Uncle Choo-Choo believes whatever he’s told to believe.

Saw a few clips of the SOTU; it appears that DOTUS (the D is for “dotard”) got standing ovations every time he successfully completed a sentence. The largely empty House was a nice Potemkin touch, IMO.

I’m curious about who’s really running our country. I suspect Obama and Jarrett have some sway, as they’re slightly brighter than Joey and Kommie-la…but I’d like to know who’s really in charge.

Y’know, if they raise the federal minimum wage to $50 / hr., they could then tax the snot out of everyone.

Hi, Fatwa -- the most surprising Joe Biden thing to me is how much he’s gotten done in his first three months. The quality of his handlers is considerably higher than I anticipated.

I’m still struggling this week, which has mostly been a blur. Hopefully by the weekend I’ll feel kind of normal and can cut back on the pain meds.

It’s good to know that the Feds are focusing on the real threat to America, white extremists, instead of wasting their time on imaginary groups linked to a meme like this one:

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Fatwa!

That’s all I got. That and a deep disgust for our political “leaders”.

I’ve really slept poorly this week and have been doing pain meds, so I’m, at best, only slightly coherent. I’ve been on a 24-hour day grabbing 2-3 hours sleep followed by 2-3 hours worth of work, followed by 2-3 hours worth of sleep. Thankfully, working remote I can mostly hide this from teh bosses.

But here’s a thought or two.

If the United States became less of a world leader, would that be such a bad thing?

Is there hope for optimism that several states are pushing back against the federal govt? Are we perhaps returning to the original federalist model? Will more states just refuse to follow DC mandates?

Civil war -- what would it look like? It won’t be geography-based as back in 1861; I think it might more resemble what Mexico looks like right now.

OK, back to work.
