A friend that was a wildlife biologist hated Disney and their fairy tale portrayal of animals.
Got a few things done over the weekend -- nothing exciting planned for this week. Did read a good book over the weekend: The Cost of My Faith by Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cake Shop fame. It’s a good account of the case, his life, and his reasons for not making a wedding cake for a gay couple.
The interesting thing about the whole Masterpiece Cake Shop saga is why they, “they” being both the state of Colorado and the gay couple/gay mafia, felt the need to destroy this man’s life and livelihood when there was no shortage of cake makers that would do the job for them. Agree to disagree and move on.
I know that tolerance isn’t a two-way street anymore and the real reason probably back to Glenn Reynolds(?) about being made to care, but it’s still troublesome. Destroying the individual for the perceived greater good.
