On a sad note, Mrs Sven found our chipmunk dead this morning. He looks like he just curled up and went to sleep. Really a beautiful animal -- I’ve never seen one this close up before. I know, a varmint, but still.
We had high hopes that we’d be able to catch and release him today as he had been eating and drinking and moving around without apparent difficulty.
Looking at his body, he had a puncture wound in his neck area, but the fur around the upper part of his body was clean of blood. I’m amazed considering the amount of blood around the house when Tatum first caught him.
G’morning, dv8 (and Harper!!1!), Mac (and Elena!!1!) and Sven (and Mrs. Sven !!1!!
dv8 --
Rest well; hope you dream-up a way out of the rut you feel you’re in. (I understand that feeling, too and concur with Mac’s assessment.)
Mac --
Amusing thread pic; I appreciate that you keep finding good ones.
Sven --
Best of luck getting Tatum into his carrier and vaccinated.
Today’s thread pic reminded me of this old chestnut (with a godawful cover photo) featuring several members of Stuff plus a 23-y.o. Duane Allman on guitar:
Having our kitchen sink, faucet, and disposal replaced. If it was a stainless sink I might have done it myself but it is a cast iron and weighs over 180 pounds and goes in a silestone counter top. I will let the younger guys do that. Elena should be happy.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!), Mac!, Sven, and Fatwa!
dv8 -- I’ll jump in with a “me too” in re your rut. Go out. Invite someone in. Take Harper for a drive to enjoy the scenery. Turn on your webcam and play something. Work on a project. Getting started is the hardest part. Newton’s first law of motion applies here, as well.
Sven -- good luck with Jack Tatum (and your chipmunk). Maybe the Vet can recommend something for the latter.
Mac -- you do much more than “phone it in” and we appreciate your efforts. Glad you’re letting someone else deal with the cast iron sink.
I made Harper some Scones (the protein kind) I’m really getting close to “real” scone-i-ness. Same with my protein cornbread. I made some for the missionary sisters’ lunch. They gobbled up quite a lot of it along with my mexican soup.
This is the first time I made the soup with fresh tomatoes. I usually just use a large can of whole and a large can of diced. It was very good, but as it’s been in the fridge, it’s gotten a little tart, so it needs some brown sugar or something. the canned wholes and such are usually pretty mild, so I usually use them.

Just checking in again. Once again on TOR. I wish I had a story to tell. I’m way tired though. Just got in from the Big Route.
Get some rest, Sir.
Thanks Mac, I’ll try. Lately it feels like all I do is work and sleep. I think I’m in a rut.
I understand that feeling. It isn’t healthy if it goes on too long.
Good morning, Dv8 and Mac -- taking the day off and trying to get caught up on things including getting Tatum his shots. That should be fun.
Too bad you couldn’t talk Mrs. Sven into doing it. Good luck.
Don’t think I didn’t try.

So it goes.
I’m sorry to hear that. I posted my comment before reading yours.

too bad I can’t see embedded videos like that on TOR--at least on the current TOR circuit I’m on.
At first glance, I thought the video picture was Hunter Biden.

That sounds exciting.
you’ve inspired me to clean my Kitchen faucet which is a bit clogged.
I ran some vinegar through the faucet head, which seemed to help it along somewhat.
Good morning, Fatwa. Thank you. I always feel like I’m phoning it in. Tex used to put so much into it.
Echoing Fatwa -- thank you -- the thread pics are always perfect and I don’t know how you do it.
Yeah, I miss her too. It was nice to have her back for a while.

all good advice. I’ll let all y’all know how it goes. Maybe it’s time to sleep for a while though.

I saw this on zeducation a little while ago.
