Well…. Internet is fixed. they came yesterday afternoon.
On Friday, The dudes are coming to look at the AC. I decided it was long past time to buy a backup unit and install it in the bedroom.
It was a bit late in the season, so Home Depot didn’t have any portable AC units, but WalMart had two. I bought the smaller of the two, I’ve already tested it and it’s working fine, so I’ll install it maybe today, when I get through sleeping.
Regarding the Big AC, it has a slow leak which they topped off last summer some time. It’s just starting to get low now. although it’s still working okay as long as you don’t turn it colder more than one degree at a time.
The window unit will go in a small window that we don’t use anyway, and usually keep covered with a picture

Jim and I have a conference call tomorrow with Mr. Lawbaw re HH-A HOA. In reviewing some recently received documents from the Contractors State Licensing Board, I think I found something which may throw a spanner into the works. 👿
Also going to meet with a potential guitarist early this afternoon; he seems to be a good match, so I’ma cross my fingers.
So, I feel like I should sell my 99 Caddy that I’m probably never going to drive again. I drive it to the carwash every so often and that’s about it. I should probably find a good home for it, and buy a pickup truck of some kind which would be a much more logical second vehicle.
Gosh, sometimes, when I’m up and about during the day, even when I’ve been awake for a long time, I don’t really want to settle down.
Today, after the Big Route, After I went home, I didn’t go right to sleep, then after a few hours, I realized that It was late enough to go get propane for the forklift, plus a few other things. Like on Monday, I used the very last light bulb in the store room when I replaced the bulb in the women’s rest room.
Evidently, We’re not ordering stuff like that from a commercial distributor anymore, so we have to buy things like light bulbs, and garbage bags, etc. at regular stores.
So I got an extra hour or so of work in, and some needed supplies.
The Forklift still had about half a tank, but I wanted to top it off just in case.
I think I’ll wait next time until it’s a bit more empty because it makes the tank much lighter. Although… truth be told, Propane is not all that heavy. Water is much heavier.
1) In response to a brief email to Lawbaw this morning, I got the following:
Yes, your private arbitration provision controls this and you/they do not qualify for CSLB Arbitration unless you waive the private arbitration provision.
This means that, per terms HH-A agreed to in our contract, we can tell them and the CSLB to sod off with their “mandatory arbitration”. We’ll know more about the pros / cons of doing so after the phone conference tomorrow.
This is the “spanner” I was hoping for. 👿

Heeeee! I fully intend to (assuming JimCo elects to pursue its contractual right to private arbitration).
2) Meeting with guitarist went really well; at parting, we agreed we’re going to be very disappointed if it eventuates we don’t have good “musical chemistry”. We’ll see how that next step goes once we find an interested bassist.
