Got some numbers from Cousin Tax Preparer re how much “tribute” to send to the Feds; it was about what I expected, but it still sucks. For some odd reason, I resent having to pay for the destruction of so much I hold dear…in addition to being robbed.

When I was self-employed, I loathed quarterly taxes and dearly wished that all Americans were forced to pay them, just to learn exactly how much the goobermint confiscates from our earnings.
Went down to Huntington Beach for the weekend -- had a cousin in town that i haven’t seen in 10 years. Good visit and good to get out of town for a little while anyways.
true : ) but then I have to fix it, because it still punches in and out at the correct times and dates, so it looks like I’ve worked 36 hours or so in one day.
I was skipping around the cable teevee channels today and landed on CSPAN-Book TV where some black crt professor was bemoaning the fact that America has never lived up to the ideas expressed in its founding documents and I thought if the civil war and maybe up to a million dead to end slavery doesn’t affirm “that all men are created equal” I don’t know what does.
All these America suck and always has types, of all colors and persuasions, I would like to ask one question: is there anything good that America has done and what was it? With all your constant bellyaching about what a shitty country this is, is there ONE thing you can point to and say, yeah, America did that right, because I think your answer would be most illuminating.
