Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Oooh…it’s “Every Thread Pic Tells A Tail” Wednesday, Wheelizens!

Unless they can blame it on the new governor, who hasn’t been sworn in, yet.

Several attempts to do just that were made on Twitter yesterday; morons did not respond well when it was pointed out that they’re morons.

Really hating my job this week. Largely due to the way many people have neglected to take care of problems they were made aware of years ago and now expect us to wave a magic wand to fix their failure to act.

Bah!

Good morning, Fatwa. Happy Insurrection Day Eve!

That thread pic is most disturbing. Even cats would be preferable.

Happy finally-got-the-damn-tail Wednesday.

So nitey nite.

Funniest headline of the day from the LA Times: “These lawmakers were trapped together in the House gallery during the Jan. 6 insurrection. How they are healing together from the trauma”

Hi, Sven and dv8 (and Harper!)!

Happy Insurrection Day Eve!

Har!

dv8 -- Hope the bazooka installation goes smoothly and that the result is aurally pleasing.

=====================

I’ll bet some of the Congressional leeches lawmakers claim they have PTSD from their terrible, life-threatening experience…oh noes!!1!

Frankly, I hope they were so traumatized, they leave public life. (Preferably feet first.)

May the ghost of Ashlii Babbitt visit all of them this evening and cause many sullied nightshirts and/or expensive bedsheets.

I’d like to see a bunch of protesters tomorrow all dressed like the “QAnon Shaman”.

I’d be willing to bet that one of the reasons for not releasing all of the video footage of the “insurrection” is that it shows most of our elected officials huddling in terror and pissing on themselves.

…and pissing on themselves.

That’d be weird; as a general rule, they only piss on us.

They cared so much about “saving our democracy” that hardly any of them took up defensive positions to protect themselves or others.I’ll bet there were puddles of piss all through the building.

It went fine thanks!

I think these hypocrites would be surprised if a REAL insurrection actually happened. It seems like some are about to happen in other countries. I recently saw a video of some mayor in some foreign country getting his ass kicked over vax mandates.

Happy Contortionist Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, dv8 (and Harper!), and Sven!

dv8 -- good luck with the stereo installation. I hope the sound comes out to your liking.

Fatwa -- it’s amazing the mental gymnastics people can go through to shift the blame from themselves to others.

Sven -- apparently some of those same legislators weren’t traumatized during any of the other “insurrections” or actual bombings that took place at the Capitol over the years. Amazing.

Hi, Paddy -- not surprising as it wasn’t until their particular ox was gored that they gave a crap. Odd that “representatives of the people” don’t care much about what happens to those they represent, but care mightily when something untoward happens directly to them.

Well. I managed to get up and make my appointment.

The “Tube” is so powerful it needs to be turned down pretty far to match the rest of the stereo. But it sounds great.

On the ride home, I had to turn the bass all the way down, and turn the balance pretty far toward the front, still sounded great though!!!

But after I got home, I adjusted the thing--it has its own volume knob--and brought it more into balance with the rest of the stereo. It sounds even better now.

There is a 6 inch, and 8 inch, and a 10 inch version of The Bazooka Tube. In retrospect, I’d say the 6 inch would have been more than enough, but the 8 inch one fits in the back and is strapped to the side of the cargo space by two convenient cargo strap insets that are already built into the car on that side.

Jake Hill sounds perfect on it as does Steve Vai. It rounds out the tone nicely on classical.

I think the 1812 overture will sound awesome on it. Or Peter and the Wolf, with all that bass.

Glad you got it installed and that the sound is what you wanted.

Very nice. I was just playing for Mrs Sven the scene from the movie Crossroads with Ralph Macchio and Steve Vai battling it out in a guitar duel.

that is a great scene!

I think that was my first introduction to Steve Vai, I’m embarrassed to say.

My formal introduction to Steve was from my old grade school friend, Pathological Liar Guy, let’s call him. He was always a fun friend to know, but well not reliable in some ways. Always good for a laugh with his sanguine personality and crazy stories.

Anyway, he introduced me to Steve Vai among others good ones of the shredder variety.

I found out way later that most of these fusion guys were introduced to the world by Frank Zappa.
