IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
If the wind blows “around” unsecured objects, then the best thing is to be unsecured, right?
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Hot, dry and windy today, but it’s supposed to cool down considerably by the middle of next week.
I remember my dad telling me about the winds when he was working on Adak Island in the Aleutians. All the car doors had multiple layers of seatbelt webbing bolted to them. Without it, when you opened your car door, the wind would rip it off the hinges. When the winds were too strong for the jeeps to take kids to school, high school students would take younger kids by the hand and walk them to school.
Hi, Paddy -- here’s hoping no fires in your area or ours. COmpared to wha tyour father and their generation went through, living today is much simpler.
I actually have some work to do today -- I could put it off until the work week, but I’m almost giddy that I have something productive on my plate. Ugh, what does that say about my life?
Watching the Ottawa occupation -- Canadians sure are happy people even when protesting. Quite a difference from the normal leftist a**holes in our country. Doesn’t hurt that their demands are doable compared also to the nebulous “world peace” that Americans scream, burn, and murder about.
Why would anyone have CA state flag-themed bed linens? (Unless they’re super-fans of Governor Hairgel…’cause he’s so dreamy.)
You two gentlemen ought to keep an eye out behind you, as I’m rapidly approaching.
Canadian woodchuck humor:
How many trucks could Trudeau’s trucks tow if the tow trucks won’t tow trucks?
Good morning, Fatwa --
More frickin’ wind.

Hai, Sven!
Hope you don’t look out your window and see a raccoon riding a bike through the air like Miss Gulch.
More importantly, hope it doesn’t cause any problems at Teh Mountain Redoubt.

Good night everyone. It was a good day, even though I didn’t check in with all y’all.
Goodnight, Dv8 -- glad you had a good day -- blessings they are.
