I agree, Sven. I wonder who is making the decision to withhold food and water?
Hi Paddy -- apparently it’s in his medical directive and confirmed by his sister who has power of attorney. Along the lines of if unresponsive, then withhold invasive treatments. He’s unable to swallow so….
You and Mrs. Sven are Good Gerbils; may the circumstances with your friend go as well and peacefully as possible for all parties concerned. Hugs to you both.

Busy JimCo day yesterday and today (including conference call with lawbaw at 14:00 my time), so I’ve not had a chance to catch-up here.
Thanks, guys. Talked to the hospice nurse -- they are giving him morphine 3xday, low dosage. She checked his vitals and they were still normal enough. She estimates another 2-3 days before he passes.
The absolute worse part. I called his siter on my cell phone so she could talk to him. He had his eyes open and a tear ran down his face from one eye. There’s no doubt he’s in there and aware to some extent of what is going on.
I’m having a drink -- it’s 12:00 somewhere, right?
Well…. I find myself well rested for tonight’s marathon. It should, in theory, be less marathony.
On Tuesday night, I had an extra 450 papers (about an extra hour/hour and a half) in the mail run, as one of the carriers was getting eye surgery. She should be back tonight, the Good Lord willing. And while I do have some extra stuff to prepare, and hence, deliver on Friday, that usually goes smoothly.
On Friday’s route, I deliver a “Scene” route concurrently with the regular route. It’s kind of a “What’s going on in Sedona” kinda thing. It goes to mostly Hotels and the like. It just adds a number of stops along the way, but nothing I have to go out of the way for, so it doesn’t add significantly to the delivery time.
But I do have to set those aside and aportion them into specific bundles so everyone gets the right number of them.
Anyway, Sorry I’m not following along on the news of the day so much.
When I get in for lunch though, at around 2 -- 3 am, Harper and I usually watch duckHK. Who used to also be on youtube, but left voluntarily to gain more latitude in subject matter.
I’m going to make a separate post I think talking a bit about some small creators who have a lot of good insights and a lot to contribute.
Very big brain commentary on current events, history. I mean seriously big brain stuff. The guy just has to talk about all the connections he makes from his studies. It’s a bit more work to listen to his stuff, but it’s worth it.
Started vlogging around the time of Hong Kong Protests. Used to be on youtube, left voluntarily. Does great specific news stories, and now does a News Roundup once a day which is very fun to watch. Though he is very small like Donovan, he really has been developing into an entertaining presenter especially in the past year.
Still awake, but time to sleep for tonight’s Big Route and related work…
Good night, all.
Rest well, Dv8.

More later. Going back over to sit for a few.
Ukrainian Kitteh Kommando Thursday compliments, GN!

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!), Sven, and Fatwa!
Sven -- what you and Mrs. Sven are doing for your neighbor is a blessing. Prayers for comfort, strength, and a peaceful outcome.

How many stops do you do on an average night?
Last post, unedited, I shudder to think what will be wrong when I read it over:
Okay, here goes:

I was going to write more, but I guess I’ll leave it there.
