On Friday, we have to go to Phoenix. My boss is coming in to help me with the mail. In order to get me out early so I can get some sleep before we have to drive down.
It’s going to be a long one, and I’m not really looking forward to it. Although, I can visit my Mom and do a bit of shopping while I’m down there, and maybe we’ll get a hotel room so we don’t have to turn it into a marathon.
Firsties congratters, dv8; rest well! Glad your boss is going to lend you a hand and hope the “Phoenix Run” goes as well as it possibly can.

Criminy…what a day yesterday. Due to a bureaucratic snafu somewhere, poor BK had to spend hours on the phone to ensure she had pre-approval for a couple of scans she must have done today, since her first chemo is tomorrow morning.
She finally spoke to a very helpful individual at Cigna who seems to have unfarked things; we’ll see if that’s actually the case.
In other news, lawbaw sent us info from the American Arbitration Association yesterday regarding our choices for an arbitrator. We got resumés for 6 of them as well as a form from which we can strike up to two of them. I made a first pass and picked my top three arbitrator choices; told Jim to do the same so we can compare choices and see if he and I can get some consensus.
The other side gets to do the same and if the parties cannot agree, the AAA will randomly choose an arbitrator from the list for us. Everyone’s choices and strikes are due by Wednesday of next fucking week.
So we probably should schedule a conference call with Mr. Attorney for Monday.
Additionally, Jim and our foreman have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow to inspect the (we believe) “fabricated” leak at HH-A HOA. Which means I’ll also have to write up our analysis / report over weekend and send it to counsel so we can discuss that on Monday, as well.
I am in a particularly ill humor right now.

I got kicked off Teh Wheel last night and had to join via Tor to get on this morning. I tried using my work computer, which uses Chrome instead of Brave, but that isn’t working either. I’m guess it’s a DNS issue. Oh well, first world problems and I’m glad I’ve got a work-around.
dv8 -- safe travels tomorrow. I hope everything goes well.
Fatwa -- it sounds like you’re making some progress on the HHA-HOA front. I hope Brenda was able to get all the insurance carp taken care of. At the best of times nobody needs that stress.
Our (rather new) dishwasher is broken. The water will fill and drain but the pump won’t pump the water around through the jets and stuff.
I hope it can be fixed, but whatever. I’ll buy a new one if I have to. I can’t live without one at this point. It’s a bad situation, this happening right before we have to go on a trip.
Bummer about your dishwasher; hope there’s a simple, cheap and fast fix.

Just got back from LambiePieK’s Scan-O-Rama; she’s drunk enough water and dye to float a battleship. And, hey…we’ve got DVDs! (On the way home, I was freestyling DVD trailer narration, i.e., “Brenda K as you’ve never seen her before…from the inside out!” And “…from the producers of ‘I Am Bill’s Urethra’…”
I manfully refrained from asking one of the techs if there were any outtakes and/or extras on the DVDs.
Or if they might like to offer -- for a significant upcharge -- original music to their clients’ DVDs. 🙂

the medical stuff is difficult. I know it well. That’s what we are heading to Phoenix for.
