Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Happy “I’m Feeling A Lot More Pissed-Off Than Teh Thread Kitteh” Monday, Wheelizens.

I think our HVAC contractor ran into someone from that HOA, Fatwa.

Criminy, Sven…that girl’s father was/is a real POS. “No good deed goes unpunished.”

Harper!!1! --

According to teh summons, the law firm is representing State Farm, the insurer for the HH-A homeowner who we’re pretty sure has been driving this short bus from the git-go. State Farm is -- ostensibly -- trying to recoup monies they paid to said scumbag.

We’ll see what lawbaw has to say, as this seems more than a bit hinky.

Gentle Brenda would start feeling better if she would stop eating toads.

She doesn’t eat them, but she did wed one. 😉

(Alas, not the kind which exudes psychedelic or poisonous slime.)

dv8 --

Hope you can get the tennis elbow sorted.

=====================

We also have to get a serious Brenda-related paperwork snafu straightened out this morning. Fucking bureaucratic bungling by a large company that she has to fix…like she doesn’t have enough to contend with.

I woke-up furious; we’ll see what eventuates over the course of the day. 👿

Brenda’s state this morning is “not great but better than yesterday”; grateful for that, at least.

Might BBL.

Hi, Fatwa.

You and Brenda are in new territory dealing not just with a disease, but with nonsensical processes and bureaucracy. It shouldn’t be this way, but once you get the hang of it things will smooth out -- it’s just not something you can prepare for because if you were running things it wouldn’t be this way.

Hey, Sven --

Dealing with bureaucracies always sucks, particularly with relatively high stakes such as the loss of health insurance and/or medical leave benefits…like income.

Brenda spent about an hour on the phone earlier and seemingly has gotten shit sorted out. I expect she’ll make some follow-up calls this afternoon; “trust but verify”.

(Bless her heart; I offered to make some calls but she was insistent about handling it herself. I truly appreciate her tenacity…among her many wonderful qualities.)

Up next: conference call with attorney at 10:00 PDT re HH-A HOA arbitrator selection. (He’s got court today, so I anticipate two other issues will not get discussed in that call…but they’re less time-critical than the arbitrator.)

I dreamt last night that I was trying to crush the HH-A HOA short bus driver with his garage door; MFer would not die. Frustrating. 👿

Happy Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

Cats -- you don’t give the the “right” food for a couple of days and they fire you.

Fatwa -- you didn’t need someone adding another layer to the sh!t sandwich you’ve been dealing with.

It brings whole new meaning to a “Amber Heard sandwich.”

Alice Cooper is my work background music today. A really good song with some interesting lyrics off of The Last Temptation.

I don’t know but I’ve been told
The streets of hell are paved with gold
Crazy, crazy
You told me that nothing’s free
Except my own insanity
Crazy, maybe
Wake me, shake me
Wake me, shake me
You offer me the world and all its wealth
All for myself
You promised me a life eternally
And drink to my health
I may seem only half-glued
But I can see right through you
Burn it up, burn it down
Burn this sucker to the ground
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Going, going, going, gone
There’s a party going on
And on, and on, and on
Do you think I don’t know who you are
A fallen star
When I feel my soul scream out at night
I know you’re not far
You need a better disguise
This one won’t win any prize
Burn it up, burn it down
Burn this sucker to the ground
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Going, going, going, gone
There’s a party going on
And on, and on, and on
Cleansed by fire, cleansed by fire
I may seem only half-glued
But I can see right through you
What about dark
What about light
What about wrong
What about right
What about death
What about sin
What about the web you’re trying to spin
What about truth
What about life
What about glory
What about Christ
What about peace
What about love
What about faith in God above
What about war
What about hell
What if I stumble
What if I fell
What about blood
What about greed
And all of these things you’re offering me
Yeah, what about me, little me
You lose and I win
You couldn’t suck me in
It’s over, you have no power
You’re lost
And I’m found
And I’m Heaven bound
Go back to where you belong
To where you fell
Go to hell
