Good on that cat -- he could just as easily turned to drugs to relieve his boredom. Good morning, GN!

Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!

That cat doesn’t just watch what happens, that cat judges. And he clearly doesn’t approve.

I’ve got nine Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings this week. These are meeting with parents, teachers, sometimes counselors and speech therapists, etc. to review how a student in special education is doing and to set goals and adjust service levels for the next year. Last year, my boss and I shared duties administering IEP meetings. This year, with the reorganization, that no longer falls to me. It should be my cow-worker first, then her boss (the VP) if she’s not available, then myself or the principal. Somehow the VP is never available, nor is the principal, so it’s fallen to me to pick up the slack. Since January, I’ve averaged four of these meetings a week. Besides the 1-2 1/2 hours for the meeting, it takes me about an hour to prep for the meeting -- to review the student’s records, old goals and services, new goals, test results, etc. That’s ten hours a week of doing someone else’s job. Add in all the other time I spend supporting that cow-worker and her department and it’s no wonder I can’t get my job done the way I want.

He does have his judgey cat face on, doesn’t he?

That sucks about your cow-worker. No way to escalate?

I’ve had a discussion with our head of HR, taking the tack of this is hindering my job performance. The executive director is thrilled with my performance, so that didn’t go far. The principal’s position, when I’ve hinted at this subject, is that we all need to be team players and support one another.

I think for next year I’m just going to have to start declining meetings and let others figure out how to solve the issue.

Staring Kitteh Tuesday Greetin’s, GN!

Hi, Sven and Paddy!

Brenda update: doing pretty well today. Took her to a routine dental appointment; also good.

Paddy --

That sucks about your job; lazy cow-workers are a curse.

I truly hope JimCo’s nastygram immensely pisses off those rat bastards at HH-A HOA; I’m weary of those venal fuckers ruining my sleep and wasting countless hours of our (especially my) time. I’m tired to goddamn death that we’ve only been able to react to their antics for the past fourteen months.

I would like to grievously harm these individual in seriously life-changing ways; they ought to thank their lucky stars I reside 2200+ miles away.

Even if we prevail in arbitration, whatever compensation we get won’t begin to approach the kind of payback they have so richly earned. May these three individuals die slow, agonizing, terrifying and humiliating deaths out of their very worst nightmares.

They live in California, in the San Fernando Valley -- there’s not too many worse things. Perhaps you could entice some the homeless unhoused to set up camp in front of their place?

Hey, dv8 (and Harper!!1!)

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers; they mean a lot to us (especially right now).

Similar domains have sold or partnered in the 8 figure range…

Dude! That would be seriously awesome.

*Fingers crossed*

…there’s not too many worse things.

Au contraire, mon frére. I can think of many worse things for the three shitheels. Far worse.

When we were doing the HH-A job, we had a PortaPotty -- which we kept locked overnight -- at the back of the property. (Where we also stacked damaged plywood and fascia so the then-Board could review it before we hauled it off and keep us honest re what we replaced.)

We arrived one morning and found several deuces in the woodpile; we figure someone attempted to use the PortaPotty and coulnd’t get in, so…Christmas in July!

Hello everyone.

I was happily resting up for The Big Route tonight, but something caused me to wake up, so I decided to do some of that work I didn’t do over the weekend.

One project, re crypto, not a big deal really, but did a thing.

One bigger project, re: my domain (curvy dot com) has made some progress. I want to see what kind of interest there is in it. Similar domains have sold or partnered in the 8 figure range, so I figure it’s time to put it up for sale, lease, or partnership.

Prior to this point, I’ve only ever used it for a launch point for this and that. I never really had any plans in particular for it. But I’ve had it for over 30 years now, so I’m thinking it’s time.
