Good morning, GN -- Happy Wednesday.

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Drive-by:

Hi Sven!

This morning’s Brenda update: A bit achy but -- all things considered -- not feeling too bad. A bit of nausea last night, but not anywhere close to upchucking.

Got some other stuff going on with MamaK but it does not seem -- at this time -- to be anything major.

=========================

HH-A HOA caused me sleep problems again, but that’s been going on a few times a week for over a year. I continue to wish naught but ill and abundant suffering to the Three Stooges Scumbags.

Happy “You aren’t the boss of me!” Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Fatwa!

Fatwa -- thanks for the Brenda update. I’m glad she’s been tolerating the chemo, so far.

okies. Well…

Just checking in.

I just got home from The Big Route. I stopped off at Bashas (a southwest supermarket chain) on the way home. Put everything away.

I was tempted to buy breakfast for the two of us while there, like I did last Friday, but I didn’t. All the stuff they have is delicious there (except the eggs; they’re not so good) But great bacon and sausage and biscuits and country gravy. They also have these big chicken strips which stand in pretty well for country fried steak, and are delicious with the gravy on them.

If we want eggs, I’ll usually just make them at home. It’s worth the trouble even when I buy everything else at Bashas.

The other day, I made a whole package of bacon in the oven as well. It does take longer, but it cuts down on the mess quite a bit.

The 8 figure sale of (voice dot com) was accomplished via godaddy’s web services. so that seems as good a place as any to start. For something potentially that big, when I actually do something positive, I’ll probably consult an attorney first. I feel like we’re gonna need a very good escrow, potentially. I’m not counting my chickens or anything. I have no idea what is going to happen, but I want to minimize the kind of mistakes that dummies like me might make in such a situation, like with tax consequences and such. I know very little about that. I know that there are some legitimate ways to conduct a sale like this with almost no tax consequences, but I have no idea what they are or how they work.

I use (voice dot com) as an example because it’s one domain that sold recently in the mid 8 figures using godaddy’s web services. I just happened to read about that a couple of days ago.

Good luck -- good that you recognize that you are out of your element and are looking for expert advice.

Thanks. I will need it. I’ve been reaching out to people who know more than me about these kinds of things.

A small brush fire in Laguna Niguel has been wind-driven into covering over 200 acres and over a dozen very expensive homes have all ready been destroyed. Fortunately the winds have died down, but we can see the glow from our home.

While I may see surrounding wild fires, I really don’t have to worry about them coming close enough to require evacuation. I do remember one year when we could see the flames of three different fires from our backyard, but even then there was the equivalent of an entire medium sized city between the fires and us.

I wonder how many of the owners of the multi-million dollar homes that have gone up in flames had sufficient insurance on their property?

This is something I think often. California has the worst wilderness management.
