Brenda’s still sleeping; I think it was another late night of reading / binge-watching for her.

May General Tso’s Sicken be very mild for Mrs. O’ and Teh Elder; hope you avoid it entirely.

Hope the remainder of your job went smoothly and quickly last night.
I’m expecting an attempt to sneak the Ministry of Truth in “under the radar” ASAP; I would bet that prospective candidates’ social media is being scrubbed. (And that embarrassing stuff will still come to light after names are floated.)
That’s just sooooo sad about LAUSD…not.

Got an email yesterday requesting updated pricing for rebasing all of the tile roofs at a place near the Svens. (That one on E.L.A.) We gave them pricing in early 2017 and it was a $287K job then; I’d expect the new pricing will be pretty sphincter-tightening. 👿
(They’ve had some leaks there over the past 5+ years, but this past winter was significantly worse. Oh well…opportunity.)
We’ll be curious to see HH-A HOA’s reaction to latest email from lawbaw in which they were told in no uncertain terms there’s zero room for mediation as we’re not backing down on anything. (Their attorney also sends out typo-laden work product; Mr. Attorney says he’s dealt with them many times and they’re extremely sloppy.)

The Waffle House thread made me wanna drive 2 hours. (the closest)
There really ought to be a wafflehouse in Flagstaff. I mean there’s a junction of two freeways and several highways there. It would probably conform to their heavy highway traffic unwritten rule.
That would cut my wafflehouse time down to under an hour.
Good morning, Fatwa, and good day, GN. Prayers for Brenda -- how many more chemo sessions does she have to endure?
I note that the stock market is once again crashing. Years ago, it never bothered me much; now, with only a few work years left in my aging body, it’s concerning. Thanks, Brandon! Retirement is so much white privilege.
Great thread pic and caption, Mac. True, very true.
Jack Tatum has been on a mission again lately -- disappearing for a couple of days, coming back for food and sleep, repeat. No injuries, so I still don’t know what he’s up to. This morning though around 2:30 I was awakened by 3-4 coyotes doing their yip-bark-yowl-scream thing in the park about 100 feet away. Staggered out to the balcony and yelled at them but they kept right on going until I got some light on them and then they shut up. Thankfully, Tatum was inside downstairs, awake and alert, staring out the window. I locked him inside for the remainder of the night and he didn’t complain.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good day, Fatwa, and Sven!
So, went to bed with COVID symptoms and they got worse through the night. I didn’t get up until 11:30 a.m. I’ve taken what I can and now I’m checking to see if my primary care physician will prescribe an antiviral.
My mind is in a haze, but I’ve got all these issues to unravel (thank, cow-worker!). I’m not sure how much I’ll get done.
Fatwa -- I hope you get that sphincter-tightening job!

More doable.

Sadly it looks like little Jack has a good scratch over an eye -- I see a vet visit in our future, like tomorrow.
Cats -- I think they do this kind of stuff on purpose.

Hang in there, Paddy. Rest.
Dishwasher part arrived this weekend. Dishwasher guy is arriving this afternoon, hopefully, to install it.
I bought some paper plates and stuff, but frankly I’ve mostly been washing dishes. It’s not the end of the world. But I DO love my dishwasher.
So that’s what you call Harper, heh?
Not if he’s smart!
Tired? This will wake you up.
