Brenda’s slug-a-bed; will update after she’s awake.
The J6 hearings seemingly should be aired on Saturday mornings with the rest of the cartoons.
Had a bad night, due to ongoing concern about BK and fury with HH-A’s latest attempt to delay things. Perhaps they need time to fabricate moretall tales provable falsehoods.
I wish I understood why they’re so contemptuous toward JimCo. They got great roofs, the project was extremely well managed and the very-tough-but-fair then-Board was more than satisfied with our performance at the conclusion of the project.

Marvin Heemeyer did nothing wrong (save for failing to have a survivable “exit plan”).

Christine Blasey Ford, Amber Heard, and now Cassidy Hutchinson. Believe-all-women morphing into never-believe-a-woman. Sad.
SCOTUS watch again this morning -- not sure what’s left, but sure at least something will explode a leftist’s head somewhere.
Unsolicited advice. Fatwa -- your foes are assholes doing what assholes do -- it’s not personal so try not to let it distract you from the more important things. Crush them, but don’t hate them -- if they knew they were disturbing your sleep, filling you with rage and anger, and taking time away from you, they’d be laughing and high-fiving cuz that’s what assholes do. You will eventually beat them legally -- don’t let them win anything else.
Happy Awkward Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, and dv8 (and Harper!)!
I went to the doctor’s office this morning for some blood work. The phlebotomist checked both arms and decided on my right. She tried, but couldn’t hit the vein, then starts looking for another one. Meanwhile, I’ve broken out into a sweat and start getting tunnel vision. That’s what stopped me from giving blood a couple of decades ago. So now I get to go to a lab to have the work done. Time to schedule another appointment and hope it goes better.
Fatwa -- Sven has some pretty good advice.
dv8 -- I’m glad that manually doing the mail is working out better and faster.
I must opine that the business with the HH-A assholes is, in fact, personal…at least with the shithead who put this short bus in motion originally. I am responsible for him getting a major (and richly-deserved) ass-chewing by the then-Board President and Vice President to which there were witnesses. Which he turned around and gave me the next day, and I had to basically shut up and take it, since we had four more weeks on the accursed job.
I think it’s also personal for a couple of other people who I suspect made promises of “compensation” from JimCo which they couldn’t deliver.
(Insufferably arrogant assholes really hate being repeatedly humiliated by a couple of blue-collar zhlubs like Jim and me.) 👿
I hope these bastards all die horribly and painfully…along with the six fucking attorneys enabling them. (HH-A is entitled to legal representation; they are NOT entitled to fucking abuse of process.)
Appreciate your SCOTUS Watch updates.

Glad you’ve found a way to make the mail go better; you’re like a postal John Henry. 🙂

Sorry you didn’t have a better phlebotomist; hope the one at the lab does better.
Much traffic the last few days at the house for sale next door. They dropped the price from $1.2M to $900K. I think he just wants to get rid of it now -- paid $600K for it almost a year ago and put in maybe $150K.
Interesting home. It looks like it’s set up with a separate apartment downstairs, except I don’t see a door at the bottom of the stairs to limit access to the upstairs.
It was originally designed as two separate dwellings, but then later renovated with an internal stairway connecting them. It’s a decent property, by California standards, but still needs work. Large house; not much of a lot.
One thing stopping people from buying is fire insurance -- no insurance company will cover it, so they have to go to the California FAIR Plan. And it takes a certain mindset to live up here -- no streetlights, septic tank, narrow road, wildlife, etc.
I keep meaning to take down a bottlebrush tree on their property between our two houses, but haven’t gotten around to it -- best to do it now.
Thanks, Sven, I’ve been aware of the elements of this article for a couple of decades. It’s very frustrating to watch the preference cascade ensue toward this boondoggle when the money would be much better spent on research (fusion, for example) and making the energy tech we have much more efficient.
Some of that is happening, but probably not enough.
At least there is a better chance we won’t be aborting the next “one in a billion” brainiac who will most likely solve these kinds of problems, among others.
The problem with the whole environmental movement is they went all in on global warming/climate change to the detriment of every other environmental problem out there.
In terms of energy, nobody in their right mind would shut down old systems without having new ones in place to transition to, and yet we are here.
It’s interesting that Brandon can say this about 50 dead in a trailer in Texas “While we are still learning all the facts about what happened and the Department of Homeland Security has the lead for the investigation…” compared to how quickly he jumped on border agents riding their horses and using their reins and promising stern consequences for whipping illegal immigrants.
Well that was gross. I trapped and killed my smart mouse and a companion, wedging a peanut in the bait bowl seems to have done the trick, but I should have gone up in the attic yesterday instead of today. Both corpses were smelly and covered in quite fast moving maggots. Yuck
Awk!!
Mornin’, GN.

Update:
LambiePieK is “pretty okay but tired” this morning.
FatwaA is “exhausted and murderous”. 👿

Morning. Back from work. Still doing the mail by hand. Like much better.
Big Route all done.
Sorry I’ve been more or less asleep between shifts.
Love to Brenda and everyone else.

Ugh -- you don’t like needles, eh? Good luck next time.
Needles don’t actually bother me, but for some reason I have a negative reaction to blood being drawn. I didn’t used to have this problem.

Understood -- just hate seeing you tied up in knots over this.
I wish to crush them, see them driven before me and hear the lamentations of their homeowners.

A good article.

It hates you.

Who believes this carp anymore?
basically no one.

Glad you got the rodents.
You could use the maggots to make some casu marzu.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
