BK update: Yesterday and last night were “not great”; probably due to Friday’s infusion being a heavy-duty one. Hope she’ll be at least a bit better after some more sleep.

Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven! (assuming you both identify as being in a time zone where it is still ante meridian).
Fatwa -- I hope BrendaK is feeling better today.
We’ll be heading to my MiL’s for evening festivities. It seems the newer neighbors are resurrecting the block party tradition that has gone on in that neighborhood since the bicentennial. Her grill is in need of professional cleaning (a bee hive was built inside), so I’ll be cooking indoors. Mrs. Paddy is making peach cobbler, and we’ll bring fixings for root beer floats to share with the neighbors.
In the meantime, I’m going to put some stain and waterproofing on my new mailbox post.
I have not had peach cobbler in I don’t know how long -- that sounds really good. Enjoy the day, Paddy.
I trimmed down a tree that grew on the property line between us and the empty house next door -- figure to do the heavy chores in the morning and then whatever inside work afterwards.
Another shooting -- with a rifle this time, so cries for an assault weapon ban will commence shortly. Looks like a white shooting whites, so the msm will have to drop the racism angle and go to the next in line: gun control.
We’ll probably find out that it’s some Leftist following the F*ck The Fourth narrative that the Left is pushing. Which means, of course, that the shooter’s ideology will be covered up, while, as Sven noted, they push for moar gun control.

I don’t know -- saw some pictures of the shooter and he looks like every Trump supporter I’ve ever met.
