Turns out Brenda’s appointment yesterday was just blood work. (We were surprised she’d gotten an automated call to confirm the appointment; we both understood her next infusion was next Friday.)
After I dropped her off and made my first quick errand stop, she called for a pickup; fortunately, I was very close to the doc’s office and got there in about five minutes.
She slept a lot yesterday, as she’s been largely nocturnal the past several weeks. In fact, she’s abed even as I type this.

Got several emails from Mr. Attorney at about 5:30 PDT yesterday; looks like HH-A finally ponied-up money to the arbitration company, as we’ve got a mediation scheduled for 08/30.

Mrs. Paddy and Teh Older took me out to dinner last night for my birthday. We went to that new restaurant that I mentioned a few weeks ago -- the place where my friend is friends with the chef. It did not disappoint. The chef changes up some of the dishes, depending on what veggies are freshest. I had duck breast with grilled endive and plums and it was magnificent. The best duck I’ve ever had. The service was excellent and not at all pretentious. I’m sure we’ll be going back.

Pfffft…since I’m half Romanian, I ain’t a-skeered. Plus, she had to go out in direct sunlight just yesterday.
Hopefully this is the start of wrapping this foolishness up.
Well, the very expensive mediation is nearly certain to fail since -- as far as we’re concerned -- there’s no middle ground. (There’s a four-hour minimum at $695/hr for the mediator plus another $75/hr. for the mediation company.)
I doubt it’ll actually last more than an hour, so easy money for the mediation people.
Since the hearing will be on Zoom, I hope I can find a version of the app which will work on my older laptop (which has a camera; I’d rather not use my phone, but it’s a “backup” if necessary. I have no webcam for my desktop.)
