Jim’s going to go over to HH-A this morning with a moisture meter and call the tenants in the unit with teh fakey-pretend leak from the parking lot to see if he can inspect the unit on extremely short notice.
They may say “no”, pretend they’re not home, actually not be home, etc, but he figures it’s worth a shot. It’ll be interesting to see how the tenants react, as our sense is that they’re “caught in the middle” of all this bullshit and probably don’t want to piss-off their landlord. (We did document in January of this year that they told Jim at that time the damaged ceiing drywall was from a leak prior to JimCo’s work in 2020. We also have 2019 photo documentation of the roof to support that.)

BK update: “Hurty” last night and short on sleep as a result; otherwise not too bad.
I’m seeing many reports that Ukraine is winning the war. I don’t believe everything I read, especially about this, but I wonder if a loser or losing Russia is going to be much more dangerous than a winning one. My guess is yes. With Brandon in charge, it doesn’t give me a warm fuzzy feeling that America will be prepared for what comes next.
Happy CatDoggehDay, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Fatwa!
We got about 1/3 of an inch of rain yesterday -- just a steady light rain that soaked in, which is what we need. It’s much cooler today -- only 72 at the moment, when lately it’s been 90 at this time of the morning.
Fatwa -- I hope Jim is able to inspect that unit and gather moar evidence.
Sven -- I think you’re right. He’s already taking a hard line regarding opening up the gas pipeline to Europe. If he doesn’t have a way to save face, it could get real ugly.
Good morning, GN -- happy Patriot’s Day Eve.
Bit of wet weather yesterday and this morning, but nothing major. Going to a be a hot, humid one today -- much like Houston every day.
Drive-by:
Happy Caturday, GN!
Hai, Semi-Fascist Sven!

Hi, Fatwa -- when is Brenda’s last chemo treatment?
Her last infusion will be four weeks from yesterday.
Then surgery (no date scheduled yet), followed by radiotherapy.
Is surgery a for sure thing or is it contingent on how well the chemo went?
