Happy Sunday, GN -- blessings to all.

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Sunday greetin’s, GN!

Hai, Sven!

BK Update: Feeling kinda carpy this morning from a combo of chemo on Friday and an injection yesterday for her T-cells. (Only one more cycle of this in three weeks to be followed -- as far as we know at this time -- by surgery.)

HH-A Update: AAA has sent the attorneys confirmation of the acceptance of our Arbitrator-of-choice by both sides to serve on our case. (Guess AAA agreed we’re well-past any point to mediation after the HOA has dragged that option out for several months.)

Next step is a pre-arbitration phone conference with counsel and Arbitrator; don’t know when that will be scheduled…

FFS -- something that should have been resolved in a couple of weeks is now what, two years almost?

A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Fatwa!

Fatwa -- I’m glad BK is nearing the end of her chemo cycle. I’m sure you’ll both be glad to be done with it. I hope the AAA moves a little quicker on the arbitration than they did on the mediation.

I made candied orange and lemon peel yesterday, in preparation for making Christmas stollen. I want the stollen to have a good long soak in brandy to develop and mellow the flavors. This will be the earliest I’ve started, so I hope the finished product turns out well. BTW, the candied citrus peel is nothing like that store-bought carp -- this stuff tastes good!

Huh. Never heard of stollen and it’s almost Christmas, isn’t it? Searching for stollen -- looks interesting and tasty.

I remember my uncle told me a soak in brandy story. WWII, he was in Italy and he got a package from some friendly Italians in November. In it was what he thought was a large fruitcake wrapped in cheesecloth and they found some brandy to soak it in for Christmas. When they unwrapped it, turned out it was a smoked ham.
