Did you notice that Mayor Butthurt asked for cities across the U.S. to share in the pain of accommodating illegal aliens? He gets 17,000 illegals and calls it a crisis, when 20,000 cross the border each day. He hasn’t even gotten his fair share yet!

Riverside is planning a high speed rail project that will run between Union Station in LA to the Coachella Valley. Some portions will use existing track, while others will require new track. There will be a total of 9 stations, so it obviously won’t be that “high speed”. They say it should only cost about $1 billion, possibly $1.5 billion and will take at least 10 years to build. I’m sure people will be flocking to take the train to Palm Springs, only to be stuck using the bus system to get around.
So unions can get jobs for their members and more money for their coffers. So adult politicians and bureaucrats can play with full-size trains, using other peoples’ dollars.
But does she have a flat head to hold my beer?
