OTOH, BK is feeling much better today, for which I’m extremely appreciative.
Happy Birfday ?+1 of 7 to dv8!

I’d never known about that lynching of Italians in NOLA; criminy!
I was aware that many Italian immigrants faced a lot of hate…as did so many other waves of immigrants; Irish, Greeks, Jews, various Asians, various Hispanics, Poles, etc.
Based on our history, it seems the best way to Americans’ hearts is, indeed, through our stomachs. (If for no other reason, given how fat our country has become, folks will be so stuffed and drowsy with your culture’s chow, new immigrants can simply run away from the waddle-butt bigots intent on murdering them.). 😉
BBL.

Good morning, Fatwa -- wonderful news about Brenda -- thank you for sharing.
Taking the broader view of the world and its history, I doubt that immigrants to any country were treated much better or worse than they were here in America. For most of our history though, immigrants came for opportunity and an idea and they assimilated, became Americans. Now the melting pot is considered racist and obsolete. Sad.
I feel like that poor wet owl looks, Mac.

Logic
Italians were lynched
Blacks were lynched
Blacks are Italians
Brings to mind a scene from the movie, True Romance.
Indeed, but wouldn’t that be that Italians have African blood?
Sicilians.
And Moorish blood.
I’m only a quarter Sicilian, so maybe a quarter black? That should be enough to get me some free stuff.
Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good day, Fatwa, Sven, and Mac!
Man, it’s been a busy morning! That must be because I’m taking the afternoon off.
