Glad your cornea problem has been manageable lately; sorry you have to repeatedly interrupt your sleep to do it (which sucks).
BK Update: She had a brief spell of actual perkiness this morning (which I’ve not seen for a long time) and is doing “okay” right now. Yesterday’s blood work was pretty good and she’s still on-track for surgery the first week of November.
HH-A Update: Were it not for the long commute, there’d be some relatively expensive Halloween vandalism in the works. “Justice delayed is justice denied.” 👿

Is this a Stradivariass? (Also note the scroll just above the tuning pegs.)
Good morning, Fatwa -- that’s great news about Brenda’s perkiness.
Got some sleep last and feel more or less human this morning. Went to the market yesterday and saw all the campaign signs out around town. It’s like Christmas decorations except it only happens every two years. I was thinking it would be a hoot to print up a bunch of signs for imaginary candidates and putting them up.
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Fatwa -- that’s good news re: BK! Let’s hope the perkiness increases!
Sven -- glad you were able to get some sleep.
I got a call this morning from a member of my congregation. She’s making some remarks at church tomorrow and wanted a printed copy for a couple of people who are hard of hearing. She doesn’t have “enough internet” at her home to type her message (I’m assuming Google Docs), so she’s handwriting it and was wondering if I had a program that would convert handwriting to text. I tried using Google Drive on my phone to take a picture of a half-page of cursive text, then opening the resulting pdf with Google Docs. It performs OCR, but it’s not near good enough. It’s a little better with printed text, but not by much. It looks like some of the early OCR from the late 90’s.
I called her back and suggested she go to a local Starbucks or public library and use their WiFi, rather than going through the trouble of converting at least several pages of handwriting to text and cleaning up the errors.
Browsing teh intertubes, it seems opinions have changed back to a huge wipeout for Dems next month, if nuclear war doesn’t break out first. While that would be a good thing, I don’t have much faith in the GOP. Perhaps tho this really could be a sea change election where even the GOP starts to change in a good way?
Mrs Sven’s bday next month -- looking to take her away for a night. The prices tho for hotels is beyond absurd. A Motel 6 for $250 a night? Most other decent places in the $300+ range. And one in a town in a place I know she’d like wants $790 on a weekday. As much as I love and owe her…
Is that thread pic Schpritz teh Cat?
G’day, GN!

You could try SnagIt, although I don’t know how it would do with handwritten text. Free 30-day trial. https://www.techsmith.com/blog/extract-text-from-image/ Is it too much text to just transcribe?

Makes sense.

Ouch! Those are outrageous prices.
Poke
Ouch! Quit it!
Hi dv8 (and Harper!)!
Nice to “see” you this evening. How is everything in your world?
I’m making individual chicken and leek pies for dinner tonight, with garlic mashed potatoes on the side.
Oh that sounds good. I periodically experiment with pie crust for such a purpose.
good night, good night.
Good night everyone.
