Thread pic -- Did not see that coming.

Good morning, GN -- we are under STORM WATCH as a few inches of rain is expected over the next two days.

Going through my ballot in preparation for election day tomorrow. I think I got a defective ballot as I can’t find “Democracy” anywhere on it.

Happy Shark-Infested Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!

I filled out most of my sample ballot last night and will complete the real one this morning. I don’t think we get to vote on Democracy. I think I heard on the news that Democracy is imposed by force by the leaders of the Glorious Revolution.

Happy Monday, GN!

Hey, Sven and Paddy!

Another fine thread GIF (hard “G”), Mac.

The “included” mileage is down to zero.

Criminy. Let’s go Brandon!

It’s not quite to “The Aristocrats” level, but it’s in the same ballpark.

My folks were well aware of that joke; “The Aristocrats!” was frequently uttered during my growing-up.

First thing I saw in my inbox this a.m. had the subject line “Your Email is no longer active”. Even in my morning fog, I recognized that was not good. Was a legit email from my bank informing me that my main email addy had been unenrolled from Zelle (which I’ve only used occasionally to send cash to or receive payments from FTR.

Contacted them; it appears to have been an IT cock-up with no explanation. (Riiiiight…) At least I was able to get it straightened out; got a good “banker” at the call center.

We’ll see what JimCo fun the rain brings; perhaps some opportunity.

Lawbaw told us that if HH-A contacts us with any (alleged) leaks, we should just tell their management company, “sorry; they’re in multiple breaches of contract and JimCo has no legal obligation to do either diddly or squat”. I’ll be curious to see of we’re contacted about the non-leak we’ve already checked-out twice earlier this year. (That leak predated us doing any work on the property, and we’ve got plenty of documentation…including photos of repairs to the old roof.)

BK Update: Doing well this morning; which is a YUGE shift from just a week ago.

She also reports that foods are tasting a lot more “normal” than they have for the past seven months; yay!

Wonderful news on Brenda!

This storm is supposed to drop 4 inches over 2-3 days. In SoCal, that’s enough for major incidents and roof leaks. Here’s hoping your problem child of a client experiences major damage.

The site I generally use for weather forecasts is only showing about 1.25″ total rain for today and tomorrow, but weather’s gonna do what weather’s gonna do.

I feel sorry for the owners / tenants in the ten HH-A buildings which still haven’t been reroofed, as those roofs were in terrible condition two years ago and I doubt another couple of summers has improved their condition.

There’s a pause in our downpour. So far, rain gauge shows about 1/4 inch today. The real storm is supposed to hit late night.

I saw this headline and had to share.
https://nypost.com/2022/11/02/professional-cornhole-world-rocked-by-baggate-cheating-scandal/?utm_medium=SocialFlow&utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_source=NYPTwitter

It appears that player Devon Harbaugh complained that his opponents bags were too small.
Officials gathered to inspect Richards and Lopez’s bags and confirmed that they were, in fact, not regulation size.

“They’re too small,” ESPN’s cornhole color commentator Mark Pryor remarked

In response, Lopez and Richards requested that their opponents bags also be inspected. Their bags were also found to be not compliant.

Harbaugh denied manipulating his bags for the ACL World Championship.
“Honestly it could be anything,” he says. “Definitely unintentional.”
His opponent, Lopez, also said he doesn’t know how his bags shrunk, denying that he boiled them.

“We’ve really had to crack down to make sure that all these bags are to spec,” Ryder [of the American Cornhole League] said.

More bags than ever have been rejected for the upcoming season, when random bag checks will be in place, he said. The league is also exploring “automated bag testing.”
