Odd. Several days after the queer bar shooting in Colorado Springs, and yet no mug shot or much information abut the shooter or his social media. Makes me wonder…
Happy Surprise Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
In re the Colorado Springs shooter -- yeah, it always makes me wonder when the perp’s photo and bio aren’t plastered all over the media.
Teh Older has to go to the GSA (General Services Administration) office in downtown LA to pick up his photo ID for work. His ID also lets him access his work computer, so it’s kind of important that he get it. He has to have an appointment to pick it up, however they are booked for the next 13 months. WTF? He learned that they have walk-in appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so he decided to go in today. Rather than fight the morning commute, as well as parking issues, he decided to take the train into Union Station. From there, it’s just a few minutes walk to the GSA building. It turns out that the wait time was very short and he was in and out in no time at all. Unfortunately, the next return train isn’t until 2:11 p.m. And politicians wonder why we don’t all jump on mass transit.
Went to the theater today to see first two episodes of The Chosen Season 3. I hadn’t been to the movies in maybe 4 years and was surprised at the changes -- well, not really surprised, but you know. First off, the Box Office is permanently closed. With a credit card, I could go to a kiosk machine and buy tickets or I could buy them at the concession counter. So we wait in line, get up to the counter, and when I try to pay cash that was a no go. At that spot. I could pay cash at another cashier, but that meant going back to the end of the line. None of the “cash” registers said anything about cash accepted or card only. So, OK, credit card out. Then it was you have to pick your seats. What? Can’t just pay and walk in? Nope -- assigned seating.
The theater itself was clean with really nice reclining chairs and a lot of legroom. Good picture quality; good sound. Only 20 or so people there, but it was noon on a workday.
The two episodes were OK. Same quality as the first two seasons, but lacking many dramatic moments. It was more of a setup for the coming action. Another problem now with the series is you have too many characters to follow, each with their own story arc. Some good scenes, but I’ll have to watch it again once it starts streaming and see what I think.
Happy Tuesday, GN.

Probably he’s a crazed leftist. They usually are. Not always, but usually.

Govt. Bureaucracy. Always surprising when it doesn’t work.
Still on TOR
