Good morning,GN. Happy Saturday. There’s a new House Speaker, but if that’s a good thing, a great thing, or nothing is unknown. I lean towards nothing, but it would be a pleasant surprise if maybe the GOP actually does something that gets us back from the brink.

No rain today -- gives us a chance to dry out a bit.

Fun fact from the Guinness Book of World Records:

Vilas Ghuge (India) had a kidney stone removed from his left kidney on 18 February 2004 by Dr. Hemendra Shah (India) at R. G. Stone Urological Research Institute, Mumbai, India, which measured at its widest point 13 cm (5.11 in).

Wow. I see my sweetheart was on on Friday. I was fast asleep from my long work day.

Well I guess we have a house speaker.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I was fantasizing about this:

Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation! Now with moar and hotter pizza rolls!
Good morning, Sven, Mac, and dv8 (and Harper!)!

I turned on the TV last night and saw McCarthy giving his acceptance speech and changed channels. I really don’t care what he says -- I care about what he does. I hope the conservative caucus got some significant concessions out of that entitled, establishment sell-out.

Well the Raiders sucked me in a little bit this season, but what a joke of a last game they played today. I think it’s an addiction and I fell off the wagon this season. Best thing for me is to not watch them at all next year. Cold turkey. I can still enjoy the game a bit without the emotional attachment to a specific team.

I never had a neurotypical friend to teach me how to enjoy sportsball. I feel deprived.
