Montecito got hit especially hard -- I hope Meghan and Prince Harry are OK -- after all that poor couple has been through it would be a tragedy if they suffer more hardship and trauma.

Harper -- no, we haven’t drowned here at Casa du O’Furnijur, but thanks for asking. In point of fact, we haven’t received much rain from this storm -- just a light, steady drizzle, along with strong winds.

Hi, Paddy -- glad the storms have been light in your part of CA. The oak trees are still there, but still I worry cuz that’s what I do.

That day when it rained all night, and I got sick, There were big rocks all up and down the canyon. I had to be careful and drive around them.
I think that night I decided to do that route sorta sideways. Starting with the canyon, and then the village, and then doing the in town part last.
That is scary…but what a beautiful area you live in, Sven.
