Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!

My future DiL’s parents are wonderful people and it was a pleasure spending time with them. Mrs. Paddy and I toured part of the historic district of Charleston, both on foot and by carriage. Later, we picked up Teh Younger at the airport.

Today Teh Younger and I are picking up our tuxedos, then we’re all heading out to try some of the local breweries. Tomorrow we’ll be decorating the church and fellowship hall for the wedding, having the rehearsal, then the rehearsal dinner.

Sounds like a wonderful time, Paddy. I’ve never ridden in a carriage -- horse or cat-drawn?

Horse-drawn. Curtis was a Belgian draft horse and really didn’t like it when the driver would stop to describe some site or to let traffic pass. He wanted to pull the carriage back to the stable. Really. He really wanted to pull that carriage back to the stable, and didn’t much care if the traffic signal was red, or the sign said STOP.

We had a nice, relaxing day today. The only negative was that Teh Younger’s tuxedo was sent to a different location of the chain store we used to rent the tuxedoes. Instead of 10 minutes away, it’s 20 minutes away. It doesn’t appear that they shortened the jacket sleeves as they were supposed to, so we won’t be able to pick it up until tomorrow late afternoon.

In the wake of two mass shootings in California, Newsom has decided to go after legal gun owners with concealed carry permits to solve the problem. What a dick.

I discovered that I lost the Proximity Fob to the work car, yesterday. And somehow, I brought it into the office, and managed to take it out again when I went home last Friday. I ended up dropping it on the flor of my living room in an odd place.

Harper found it though, she can usually find anything. It’s kinda creepy : )
