My great-grandfather had white hair in his 50’s and I always thought mine would go the same way. I’m thankful my kids didn’t inherit their maternal grandfather’s hairline. He was bald by his college graduation.
Evidently, grey hair is a natural bleaching process that kicks in at a certain age, indicating maturity; it’s not the hair pigment turning off as previously thought.
The nobel (or somesuch) prize went to the group who discovered that. The financial reward will go to the people who figure out how to reverse it. Billions, probably.
