A thoughtful coon thread pic -- a good visual to start the day -- thanks, Mac!

March 14 is the anniversary of Ed Abbey’s death and it’s the 35th anniversary of me and Mrs Sven meeting up on our first day of work at a new company -- we had both applied for the same job and they couldn’t decide which one of us to hire, so they hired us both.

Happy Pi Day, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!

Cool story, Sven!

On this Pi Day, remember that eating too much cake is the deadly sin of gluttony, but not so with eating too much pie, for as we all know the sin of pi is zero.

If you go off on a tangent, you don’t get a very big slice of pie.

You could post it on BitChute where you can pretty much post anything, unless it’s an Ill Eagle. Or on Rumble which has some restrictions, but administers them fairly. Similar to Elon’s Twitter, if he scrapped his code and rebuilt it from the ground up.

I understand.

I’ve been thinking of streaming on Rumble. It used to cost a bit to do that, but now it’s free.

It’s pretty cool, really, everyone qualifies for ad revenue, and superchats, no matter how small they are.

I guess they are taking it in a different direction than youtube, not just from a free speech perspective, but also from a revenue sharing perspective. Youtube chose to limit revenue only to creators that had a certain level of engagement. This was to combat the Ad-pocolypse--which they caused, by the way.

Sometimes the weekend seems so long that I’m happy to get back to work.

Harper Had a doctor’s appointment yesterday afternoon which she went to with a friend. After she got back she wanted to go to work with me. That was a nice surprise. My Monday work can take up to about 6 hours, but if nothing unusual happens, and everything goes smoothly, and there is no downtime, it can be over in 3 and a half hours on occasion.

We had a pretty nice time together. I didn’t play any videos or listen to much music while there, A bit though. It was a strangely romantic evening.

So we were only there for about 3.5 hours. She went about cleaning some of my machines while I was working, which worries me some because that’s some pretty nasty dust in there.

Once we got home, we watched some videos and generally had a nice evening. I made dinner and I feel like I ate too much, which usually gives me nightmares--no exception this time!!

Harper had a dificult night. I don’t know if it was related to our evening at the warehouse, but she was up and down most of the night. Although I don’t really know quite how much, because I was pretty deep asleep for most of that time. She’s now sleeping soundly, but I’m up for the day, I guess.

Just living my best life…

Which is one of quiet desperation, a la Thoreau.

Wish that were a joke, but it seems like I’m pretty much trapped there.

Although, I guess things could be much worse.

Somehow we ended up with way to many potatoes last week. Not sure how that happened. I put them out in the garrage where it was cool, but forgot to take them out of their plastic bags and inspect them,

So Harper, being thrifty did that this weekend, and took all the questionable ones out and filleted them, and put them in the fridge with lemon water. So yesterday, I made my Oma’s Potato soup. I was afraid there were way too many potatoes for one pot, but it turned out to be just the right amount.

I’m going to have some with some bratwurst right now.

Filet of potato? I must think on this.
