I keep reading about America becoming a banana republic. Becoming? OK, but that term sounds vaguely racist and I’m surprised that no one has gotten pissed off about it yet.

Lot’s of wind and rain yesterday and through the night, but not as much rain as the Sven’s got. No damage in the neighborhood that I can see, which is a good thing.
Sven -- I hope the Mountain Redoubt is okay. Hopefully the roads are, as well.
The creek sounded even more like a jet engine last night. Still I managed to jet through The Big Route in just over 3 hours, owing to to the fact that the highway was closed, so I couldn’t go up the canyon. That canyon trip takes about half an hour so that cut a quite a bit of time off.

I really let the time slip by this weekend.
Just got home from a long long shift
I had extra to do last night, owing to a misprint of one of our papers. So I needed to re set up a route, and redo the monday mail run.
On monday, I didn’t notice that the paper had a printing error. They’d accidentally printed last week’s front page.
so, someone caught it before the route and the mail went out. So I was able to redo it all last night in addition to my regular duties.
