Hi, Paddy -- taking the week off -- no plans, just time away from work. If the new position goes through, then supposedly it starts 8/1. I’ve for something in writing.
I may be guilty of #1, but I only buy one type of shoe. I no longer have any dress shoes. My Sansha Dance Sneakers are all black though, so they pass unless you’re really very observant.
Disclaimer: I do have a pair of steel toe all black work boots that I wear on The Big Route, that might actually look a bit more “Dress Shoey” with a suit.
Also, I may have some dress shoes in a closet somewhere that I’m unaware of. You’d have to ask Harper about it.
back in the 80s, I started wearing top siders with 501s and a sport coat with a white oxford shirt and a knit tie. It was a sorta dressed up but simultaneously casual looking thing. I can’t say I came up with it myself, though I don’t remember where I got the idea from.
