Cats are indeed funny creatures. We’ve taken in many over the years -- those that were strays, feral, or hurt -- but Jack Tatum has been around the longest. He’s also the oddest of the bunch. I could figure out what the others were thinking, more or less, but not this one. And he’s definitely Mrs Sven’s cat.

Happy Chipmunk Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!

It’s been raining every weekend for quite a while and the lawns have been looking worthy of an HOA violation (no, we don’t belong to an HOA). I managed to get the front lawn mowed yesterday evening, so that’s something.

Waiting on the rain here too, Paddy. Today and then a break and then more tomorrow.

The rain has been delayed a bit, so I managed to get the backyard mowed. I’ll run off to Trader Joe’s in a bit.

So here we go -- Iran and Israel. Thank God we got Brandon in charge over here.

I’m sure Israel is resting easy, knowing that Brandon is in charge.

U.S. officials estimated that 50-75 one-way suicide drones were launched.

How can a piece of equipment be a “suicide” weapon? Is the drone operator killed too when the drone is destroyed? That would be kinda cool.

Sounds like more ignorant reporting. Would that make missiles “one-way suicide missiles”? What about RPGs? How about bullets?

I was just being snarky. I blame the cat, but yeah, that’s how several media reports characterized the drone strikes.

Not too surprising. No it’s surprising and a lie!!! It’s SCIENCE! It’s SLANDER! Meow.

Having a cat as a pet could potentially double a person’s risk of schizophrenia-related disorders, according to a recent study.

Does the risk increase with the number of cats?
