I received an odd look from our mail carrier yesterday when she delivered a package and I exclaimed “Thank God my squirrel nipples have finally arrived.” My name is probably on some list somewhere.
In addition to the squirrel nipples, we got a very cheap “playpen” for him so he can stretch his legs and wander around a bit. After lunch, we put him in there and he seems OK. And he’s got a little wheel thing, like a hamster wheel, that he’s kind of figured out.

I imagine it’s going to take a few weeks before your new squirrel companion will be ready to brave the outdoors.
Teh Older and his bride are flying home today. They’ll probably pick up their kitteh this evening. She’s gotten used to us and spent most of yesterday evening curled up in one of our laps.

Just remember, he’s too young for that “special” water bottle we have in the gerbil cage.
