We’ve heard from Teh Younger this morning. There has been no apparent damage to his girlfriend’s condo and they still have power. They took a walk around the neighborhood this morning and sent us some pictures. It’s pretty much cosmetic damage -- signs, fences, etc. One duplex lost some shingles. No flooding in the neighborhood. He’s pretty sure his apartment should be okay, although without power. No one is being allowed into the county at the moment, so he can’t go check on things.
Good morning, Paddy -- that’s good news from Teh Younger. We heard late last night from our Titusville friend -- they were doing OK. Nothing this morning yet.
From what I’ve read about DeSantis during this and other Florida disasters, I hope there’s a place for him in the Trump administration -- he gets things done.

Pinellas County lifter their curfew and Teh Younger was able to check out his apartment (ground floor). No damage and it doesn’t look like there was any water intrusion. The power is still out, though. He then drove to where his roommate is staying with some mutual friends to check on them. No power, but also no damage. He’ll probably go into work tomorrow. Hopefully they didn’t lose any fish.
Got my last paychecks from teh bestest place ever today. Reviewed them carefully and everything looks good -- with vacation pay, I’m paid through the end of the year and a little beyond. Not missing the place at all.
Not sure what’s in the future for me as far as paying work goes. I do know I won’t be looking for a new job this year.
Mrs Sven has some medical things coming up, so that will be my focus.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!

I agree. I also think his handling of Kamala’s phone calls was spot-on.

Yep. That describes Kamala.
For Mac.

That’s a good looking baby coon. Cute.

Nice -- that’s some good news.
Yes, it is.
Have you heard from your friend in Titusville?
Only a brief text that all is OK.
That’s good. Cell service is very spotty.

Enjoy the respite from a stressful work environment. You’ve earned it. Literally.
