Thread pic: Good to see bears practicing and keeping those skills sharp.

Good morning, GN.

Interesting. Mrs Sven was on a work call this morning that included participants from a few western European countries. After business was taken care of, the European folks talked about how nervous and anxious their populations have become over actions taken by Trump, the uncertainty as to what he’s going to do next, and how it will impact Europe.

My thought was: Good.

Happy “Dojo Bear” Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!

Sven -- it seems that Europeans like us better when we’re projecting an aura of weakness. That’s not to say that they actually like us, even then. They don’t want us to interfere in their politics, but want us to provide for their defense. I like it when they aren’t certain what we’ll do.

Agree, Paddy. Trump wants to fix America; not the entire world.

I’m thinking that the President had a lot more time to figure out how to be effective at what he wants to do. It is possibly much better that his two terms were not concurrent.

I agree. The intervening four years has given him the opportunity to reflect on the challenges he faced and plan for how to overcome them.

I agree as well. Plus the crap he had to endure, both legally and in the real world, moved him in a different direction than if he had had 8 years straight. And JD Vance as VP instead of Pence provides a possible worthy successor. Trump may be the most consequential POTUS of our lifetime.
