it just ocurred to me that DJT is at least as contentious as the other figures on Mount Rushmore. That’s partially why I’m not really joking about wanting him up there.
Happy “Over the top cat furniture” Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!)!
dv8 -- I hope this trip yields positive results for Harper, and for you. I’m glad you’re getting some rest today before making the drive back.
In re DJT: I think a lot is going to depend on his ability to successfully shut down efforts by the Deep State to thwart his plans. Past presidents have not been willing to get rid of those who oppose them, root and branch. If it takes mass firings -- or closure of entire departments -- so be it. Government has grown far beyond its Constitutional bounds.
I agree, and anyway, it’s fiscally unsustainable. We’re in that Caligula-phase of ancient Rome, although they managed to coast along for 1000 years or so before the empire split in half and ultimately fell apart, I guess.
Trump has had a lot of out-of-box ideas that end up working, but this taking ownership of Gaza is wrong on every level. Unless its the ultimate negotiation tactic and he has no plans on actually moving forward with it, then it’s his first really stupid blunder. We should want no part of this Middle East mess.
Still in the valley. Pretty busy day yesterday, Today we’re resting. We’ll be here one more night before we head back.

Good morning, Dv8 -- it could happen.
Thread pic: Damn, that’s nice.
