Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!

I’ve got to drive in to church this morning to meet with the pastor, our choir director, and the choir director’s liaison to the personnel committee. We’re not renewing her contract. It just hasn’t been a good fit. This is something that should have been done month ago, but that doesn’t mean I’m looking forward to the meeting.
I read an article at AoSHQ about a test flight of an electric air taxi in the UK. There were a few things that stood out to me.
There is only room for a pilot -- no co-pilot
The test flight included four passengers
The plane has four standard puller propellers and four vertical lift propellers (there is way more plane for four passengers in this e-plane than a standard twin-engined ICE plane).
The stupidity of the writer, i.e. “The VX4 generates lift through its wings, making it quieter and more energy-efficient than traditional rotor-reliant designs.”
The VX4 is not capable of vertical take-off, so let’s not compare it to a heli-taxi.
The energy required to lift all those batteries reduces both its payload and its range.

Happy Thursday, GN. Hope all are on the healing path.

Never anything to look forward to, especially when you’ve been under the weather. Good luck.

Interesting story -- if I heard about it at the time, I’ve forgotten abut it. https://www.ammoland.com/2025/05/atf-raid-that-killed-airport-exec-sparks-explosive-federal-lawsuit/
I hope that justice is served and that the agents get what they deserve as well as everyone else that authorized the action.
Sickening.
