Happy “Killer Bunny” Saturday, Gerbil Nation!

A few weeks ago I installed a drip irrigation system to water some native plants we installed on our hillside. It’s much easier than spending an hour with a hose soaking each plant, waiting for the water to soak in, then adding more water. Last week, when I turned on the system, one of the emitters was gone. I replaced it and all was good. This week, another was gone. I replace it, then found another two that were missing. The 1/4″ tubing connecting to the emitters all had signs of being chewed on. I think it’s our squirrels. I think I’m going to slip some 1″ PVC pipe over the emitters and 1/4″ tubing to try and protect things. That means a trip to Home Desperate. Oh joy.

Thread pic: Yeah, rabbits.

Good luck with the irrigation repairs, Paddy. Probably not squirrels -- more likely cats messing with you.

Could also be rats. Rats that are colluding with the cats.
