We woke up this morning to an infestation of ants in our kitchen. We often have ants outside, but manage to keep them under control inside, so this was a shock. We’re not sure where they came from, so we can’t really go after the nest or seal up the cracks.
Not a nice “good morning!” We have only had two intrusions, both around 2008 or 2009. One was in the back bedroom, through the window. Just sprayed the trail up the wall outside and that took care of it. It was embarrassing as it was when Stash visited. The other was in the kitchen, they came in through an electrical outlet. Sprayed in the box and sealed under the plate.
We used to have many more in the mobile home in San Jose. At least we could always see where they went up the outside wall to reach a window. I sprayed the trail and the ants left but no new ones came in. Had to do that a number of times. Finally sprayed around all skirts and windows and that worked pretty well.
I hope you can find where they are coming from. Elena’s family had a terrible time with that and no professionals could help. They could not even leave water in the kitchen sink or the ants would show up, and Elena’s mother was obsessive about cleaning.
Sorry. In Hamlet, Polonius gives various gems of advice to his Son. One was,
“Neither a borrower nor a lender be;
For loan oft loses both itself and friend,… “

Is he still alive and if so, do you hear from him?
Like Mac, we found them coming in through electrical outlets in the kitchen area. Luckily, not much trouble with them the last few years.
He does not respond to me for some time so I don’t know how he is now, sadly. I don’t know if he is mad at me or if he is not able. I wish him well.
That’s too bad -- I liked him and also wish him well .
Maybe Polonius was right.
You lost me there.
