I read about that yesterday but did not realize it was the Ninth-circuit. I am surprised. They usually do not seem to feel constrained by the Constitution. Maybe I am out of touch?
Of the 29 active judges on the 9th Circuit, Trump has appointed 10, which has increased the likelihood of a conservative judge sitting on a panel. However, out of the 23 Senior Justices (not considered active, but have at least a 25 percent caseload) 14 were appointed by Democrat presidents.
I wonder if the next line of attack will be to require holsters with combination or biometric locks and two step authorization before the gun can be drawn.
Rented this western the other night on Amazon: Broken Trail -- A veteran cowboy and his nephew save five Chinese girls from prostitution while trekking from Oregon to Wyoming. Not a bad Western and loosely based on actual events. Love Robert Duvall in most everything he does. Surprised that he’s still alive at 93.
I’ve seen a few clips from that and it looked good. I’ll have to add that to my watch list. Another Robert Duvall film I keep forgetting to watch is The Great Santini.
It’s worth watching. Not a great western, but entertaining. From what I understand, it was 2-season miniseries with I’m guessing each episode running 30 minutes.
Sounds right. I have it on two discs. I think it is a little over three hours total. It was originally shown in two parts, on June 24th and 25th of 2006.
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Now with moar mischievous puppers!
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!
I wonder if Calif. will ask that the 9th Circuit’s decision be placed on hold, pending appeal to the SCOTUS? Or can I go out and buy ammunition without paying extra fees?
I was never a big Hulk Hogan fan. Mrs Sven said I met him once at a bar that we frequented, but I don’t recall it. I did like like him as “Hollywood Hogan” in the WCW and the whole nWo storyline that came close to shutting down Vince McMahon and the WWF/WWE, altho Scott Hall and Kevin Nash were the guys that got that going under Eric Bischoff.
No arguing that he was iconic -- both in pro wrestling and in the real world -- but his in-ring skills were mediocre to poor.
The pundit confusion/opinions over why the Epstein story won’t go away overlooks the obvious answer: it’s the only thing that the Dems have to talk about.
And another weekend arrives -- good morning, GN.
Good news out of CA, altho it’s just one battle in a war on the 2A out here: https://californiaglobe.com/fr/ninth-circuit-kills-californias-ammo-background-check-law-here-is-the-decision/

Not out of touch -- typically the 9th is a leftist/liberal rubber stamp of a court.

Don’t give our legislators any ideas, Mac.

I recorded that in 2018 but have not watched it yet. I will correct that. I think Elena might like it, though there are no subtitles.

Not a true story, but they used diaries and such from the era to build the overall narrative.

Good point in this day and age.

Any updates on SWMNBN? I looked at TDS but didn’t see anything.
She’s somewhere in the Cardiff area, retweeting like bits are going out of style.
