Teh Older and his bride are moving into a new apartment this weekend. This one is closer to us and in a nicer neighborhood, which are both good. I’ll be heading over sometime to fix a door that’s not closing right and to install a new front door lock. The deadbolt works fine, but the lock in the lever just spins. We’ll also map out which outlets are controlled by which switches.
If you don’t have an outlet tester, then a small lamp or a drop light works. My dad taught me to use a small plug-in radio to find the circuit breaker that controlled an outlet. Turn the radio up loud enough to hear from the breaker panel and when it goes quiet, you’ve found the correct breaker.
